A powerful storm is bringing “life-threatening” flooding in the eastern half of the United States this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.Millions of Americans were under flood warnings as heavy rain triggered flooding in southwestern Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky on Saturday, the weather service said. (Bloomberg) — Carrefour SA offered to buy the shares it doesn’t already own in its Brazilian subsidiary, Atacadao SA, as the French grocer seeks paths to boost growth. Most Read from Bloomberg Carrefour, which holds about two-thirds of the unit, bid 7.70 Brazilian reais for each of the remaining shares, Atacadao said Tuesday, a 19% premium to Monday’s closing price.
